Brian - when I hit the hay last night I cracked, and checked the news to see if Schumer had a spine or not. My rage grew as I thought of how his cowardice epitomizes the proverbial 19th century French diplomat describing some Prussian action as "not only wrong, but stupid". I then saw a CNN comment story on AOC's reaction. It hit me this could be the moment where at the very least the D caucus ejects Schumer from his "leadership" position, a role I think he has well demonstrated he is no longer fit to hold. Listening to you give a more level-headed presentation than I could, I feel more confirmed I'm not over-reacting. I listened to Senator Schiff's statement just a bit ago. Why oh why are folks like him or AOC not in leadership positions. There are several D senators like Schiff and Murphy that could and would do so much better. Maybe the rage will hit today and enough Ds reconsider their stupidity and finally stand up for the right thing but I have rarely seen such a group of people so determined to roll-over for nothing.
