As I mentioned in an email to subscribers last month, I recognize that there is almost an endless array of content available and I recognize that most people — even those who want to support the creation of quality content — can only afford to pay for so much.
So I’ve always tried to strike a balance between making my content accessible, and providing enough perks for paid subscribers that they feel like they get value and to encourage others to become paid subscriptions (only $36 per year).
What I’ve decided to do is make most of my columns free and accessible, while offering up lots of other subscriber exclusive perks, including regular Zoom events, as well as a new weekly round up of must read political links.
For the last few weeks I’ve offered a free preview of what those links might look like at the bottom of my column. But starting below, there will be more links each week and they’ll be for paid subscribers only.
I spend hours reading about politics from a diverse array of sources across the ideological spectrum and every week I’m going to select stories that reflect the best reporting, the most trenchant analysis, things you might not have seen, and those that I think are essential reads for informed Americans who care about politics.
Some weeks many of the links will come from one publication. Other weeks there might not be more than one link from any outlet. The content will be a mix of shorter pieces and long reads, and it will come from journalists, academics, columnists, and more.
If you’re interested in getting this roundup each week, I encourage you to try a paid subscription. It will help support my work and enhance my ability to offer new and creative features for subscribers.
